Let’s Talk Poo 11 (Day 4, Infusion 4)

Another successful and uneventful day, which is a good thing.  Ashley managed to have a regular bowel movement before her infusion today, which was good.  I should note that she had been having solid bowel movements prior to starting.  Her Sulfasalazine has been keeping her inflammation down.

Ashley’s infusion today was at noon.  It was again just 1 fleet enema bottle, but it was a good paint thickness.  By 3:30 she had some pretty strong urgency going on.  She is a determined young lady though.  She did use the bathroom but carefully evacuated only about half of her infusion.  After that she felt better.  She’s up and around most of the day, with the exception of the half hour she lies down on her sides etc to disperse the infusion.

At dinner time she said she had some sharp pains under her rib cage.  I’m guessing it may be gas.  She had a very high fiber day today, so that could be the culprit.  It must have subsided because she hasn’t mentioned it since.

It’s 9:30pm now and she’s still holding the half.  She continues to report an overall feeling of happiness and well being.  It’s been terrific just to see the mood change!
